For nine years, Newbigin House has been more than just a home — it’s been a place of welcome, community, and transformation in the heart of Winson Green.

Over 1,000 people have stayed with us — from local neighbours in crisis to guests from around the world. Together, we’ve shared meals, stories, and moments of grace that have made Newbigin House a true home of hospitality and hope.

Why This Matters

We now have the rare opportunity to buy Newbigin House and secure its future for generations to come.

The Church of England has offered to sell the house — a beautiful nine-bedroom former vicarage — to the Newbigin Community Trust for £300,000.

By owning Newbigin House, we can:

✅ Secure a permanent community hub for:

Blacksmithing workshops
Community meals & events
Support for families with additional needs
Youth & children’s activities
Weekly inclusive church gatherings
Residential leadership training (with Seedbeds)

✅ Provide affordable housing upstairs for:

Community workers
Local families in need
Visitors and volunteers

✅ Support a new housing project for 18 local families being built behind Newbigin House.

If 1,000 of our friends each gave £100, we’d raise a third of the cost straight away.

We’ll then secure a sustainable loan for the remaining amount, to be repaid through the Trust’s ongoing work and resident contributions — making this vision achievable and lasting.
