  • Megan Tucker

    Charity Lead

    Megan is our new Charity lead from April 2025 we are all really excited and feel she will bring her passion, experience ,warmth and innovation to the role. Megan is a qualified teacher and comes with years of experience in both the public and community sector. Megan's passion is in supporting families with SEND children and adults and co-ordinates a team of staff and volunteers running moms and toddler's, children and families programs across the sites at Newbigin Trust.

  • Alex Clarke

    Mens Mental Health Support, Creative Arts Coordinator

    Alex was born and raised in the local neighbourhood, he is an artist and designer and brings with him local knowledge and connections as well as expertise and great skills. Alex is our Blacksmith he runs groups at Newbigin House weekly. He leads cycle rides from Lodge Road and is a key part of our wrap around advocacy support team.

  • Mandy Winstanley

    Adults Hub Lead

    Mandy has been with NCT since 2021 as our centre manager at Lodge Road drop in centre. She comes to us with her lived experience in homelessness and drugs/alcohol recovery, she brings her many years of wisdom and can support our most complex neighbours through life's struggles.

  • Gurmeet Kaur

    Cafe Manager

    Gurmeet is a local mom of 5 who has both volunteered and worked for Newbigin Trust in a number of roles. Since November 2022 she has taken over the role of café manager for our social support café, she manages 4 part-time staff and coordinates a great team of volunteers.

  • Ella Tucker

    Social Media Manager

    Ella was born and raised in Birmingham and at 20 years old is part of our new wave of young employees in 2021, aiming to future proof our charity. Ella manages our social media sites and website. She also provides IT support which includes creating logos for social enterprises that develop within Newbigin Trust. She has been apart of the creative projects within NCT and helped run kids clubs and craft groups. Now in 2024 Ella lives in our Community in Winson Green with her family and the newest member of the team baby Macey.

  • Maryse Degbegni

    Accounts Manager

    Maryse joined our team in November 2022 and has undertaken a complete overhaul of our financial systems. She has experience in working in accounts with charities, doing payroll and liaising with the charities commission. We are so glad to have here managing our financial systems.

  • Chrissi Davidson

    HR, Grant and administrative lead

    Chrissi has established and lead our community hub based at Benson community school. She has now taken the position of operations manager and oversees the team, HR and staff training as well as managing and writing bids. Chrissi brings high level organisation skills to Newbigin Trust and is setting up more streamlined management systems to ensure the charities future.

  • Dominic Mould

    Community Worker

    Dom offers advocacy support at Lodge Road, he is part of our music groups and helps with the Newbigin choir! He runs bell boating sessions on the canal and helps run our kids summer schemes. He is a very talented photographer and has brought many skills to Newbigin and is up for taking part in anything!

  • Sharmin Miah

    Admin Assistant

    Sharmin supports Chrissi with administration and HR. She helps by setting up new structures for our changing environment, doing inductions for new volunteer's and new staff joining Newbigin Trust. Sharmin is an experienced community worker in her own right also working for Homestart

  • Kyah Pinnock

    Kids Work Leader

    Kyah is a local mom who came to us as a volunteer. Kyah heads up our weekly kids' clubs and Bright Spark group. Kyah brings experience as a mom of three as well as local knowledge, many connections and plenty of energy to our team. She also leads our Vinted Project.

  • Dan Reid

    Kids/Youth Worker, Youth Mentor

    Dan is a local resident who comes to us with previous youth and community experience. Dan is part of the team based at our hub in the new high school as well as continuing to help lead our youth Program. Dan is currently running fitness sessions at Windsor Oylmpus hub and is a key person in our Gangz4prkz initiative.

  • Ola Atkinson

    Youth Worker

    Ola has been part of our local youth Group for the past 6 years. He now is employed to work as a Trainee youth leader. He also helps lead our roller skating groups and holiday activities. Ola has also learnt blacksmithing and works alongside our men's team to teach and demonstrate blacksmithing at community events.

  • N9ne

    Adult Support Worker, Roller Skating Instructor

    N9ne is as local community activist and well known across the community as a Dance and roller-skating instructor. He comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge after many years community work. N9ne brings his energy and skills as well as his lived experience supporting those most struggling in our community. He currently heads up The Golden Ages(over 60s) program as well as the weekly adults/children roller-skating sessions.

  • Marzia

    Family Hubs Lead

    Marzia is a local mom in our community and is based at Newbigin House. She organises our local soft play group, toddler group each week and is part of the Road Maps SEND support Group. Marzia recently started leading our family hubs. She is brilliant at gathering people together.

  • Muskan

    Cafe Assistant

    Muskan has been apart of Newbigin for many years as a local mom bringing her cooking skills to our café. She helps cook and serve at our community café during the week. She gives the best welcomes.

  • Malieka Muirhead

    Kids & Youth and Eco Hub Worker

    Malieka joined the NCT team first as a volunteer, and then as staff in 2024 as a Kids & Youth and Eco Hub Worker. She provides support and creativity to the Youth and Kids Team. Maleika leads and assists in Eco activities at least once per week, in partnership with Eco Hub at Windsor Olympus Academy Eco Field and Hub space.

  • Nadia Hussain

    Hospitality Assistant

    Nadia has been on NCT staff team since 2023 and is based at the Lodge Road site on the Hospitality team. She is an amazing help in the Community Cafe, assisting the kitchen managers, ensures food is prepared in line with food hygiene standards, and always deals with customers in a professional and friendly manner. Nadia also keeps the premises clean and tidy.

  • Shazia Parveen

    General Support Worker

    Shazia began as a local mum and volunteer at NCT. In 2022 she became staff and continues still as a General Support Worker. She utilises her skills in Children's work, the Cafe, and Cleaning, and always puts a smile on peoples faces!

  • Shona Gilsenan

    Advocacy and support worker

    Shona has recently joined us. She is very creative and enthusiastic, a real asset to our team. She is based at lodge road during the week, supporting people in our busy community centre.

  • Wiam Maktari

    Hub Coordinator

    Wiam has been a long time volunteer at Newbigin, We are really pleased to appoint her to this new role at the Windsor Olympus Hub, offering advocacy support and a range of creative and fitness activties.

  • Shanice Miller

    Hub Host

    Shanice has also recetnly joined the team and has been a local long term volunteer. She is based at the Windsor Olympus hub with Wiam. Shanice is a friendly and calm personality, she makes sure everyone gets a warm welcome.

    Cleaner

    Paramjit is our cleaner at Newbigin House. She is a long term local volunteer, a caring person, famous for her homemade pizzas.

  • Kenza EL Berchghi

    Admin Support to Family Hubs

    Kenza is another recent appointment, we are really pleased she has joined our team. A local parent and able book keeper with a gentle manner. She’s doing a great job at keeping our family hubs organised.

  • Katerina Makulova

    Family support Worker

    Katerina is a local mom and a brilliant addition to our family hubs team. Katerina is a great cook and very creative. She runs our Cadent Slow Cooker Courses and supports our pre school and roller skating groups.

  • Joe Tucker

    Kids and youth worker

    Joe has been a committed volunteer with us for a couple of years and is now a member of staff. Joe supports our Bright Sparx SEND after school club and holiday activities. Everyone loves Joe!

  • Ray Sontan

    Eco Hub Assistant

    Ray is also a new member to the Newbigin family. Ray works with our partner organisation - Warm Earth doing a great job of putting on community events, recruting volunteers and working in the Community Garden.
